Terms of use
This page is a summary. The full, authoritative text is the terms of use in the repository; if the two ever differ, that one applies.
In short
Section titled “In short”- Free and open source. Vitals is licensed under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and distribute it, commercially or not, provided the licence notice is kept.
- No warranty. The software is provided as it is, without any warranty. Vitals can end, suspend and reprioritise processes and change startup entries; those actions do what they say, and you are responsible for using them.
- Beta software. Version 0.9 is a public beta. Expect rough edges and keep backups of anything that matters, as you would with any software.
- Your own machine. Use Vitals on computers you own or are allowed to administer. Remote access gives the paired device the scope you chose; give control scope only to devices you trust.
- No service. There is no account, subscription or hosted service. The only thing Vitals contacts on its own is GitHub, to check for updates.
